My name is Sean Mahoney. I’m a writer and performer from London. For six years I’ve worked very hard to be good at both of these things.
I have performed on Channel 4’s Random Acts, won Literary Death Match in London and Dublin, featured at Poejazzi, Bang! Said the Gun, Steez, Born Free, Forget What You Heard, Jodi Ann Bickley’s Speak Up, The Midnight Run, Roundhouse Theatre’s The Last Word Festival, Subjectivity and Something4Sundays.
Festival’s I’ve performed at are Brainchild, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Lovebox, Meadowlands, Lounge on the Farm, Beach Break and Secret Garden Party. I’d love to do any of these festivals again apart from Beach Break which was fucking horrendous.
I’ve run workshops for The Roundhouse Theatre, the Collaborative Touring Network, Tricycle Theatre, Chelsea Theatre, Hampstead Theatre and the London Workshop Company where I assisted and led workshops at primary schools in the London borough of Brent.
Until You Hear That Bell is my first one man show. It was developed with the Battersea Arts Centre and was directed by Yael Shavit with movement direction by Helen Heaslip. It will be going on tour in Spring with the Collaborative Touring Network.
